Fuel distribution continues, suffcient fuel by tomorrow: Minister | Sri Lanka News


The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and Lanka IOC (LIOC) are continuing to distribute fuel islandwide and there will be sufficient fuel stocks available in all fuel stations by tomorrow (Sunday), Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.

The CPC is also reviewing data of fuel orders placed and stocks maintained at all fuel stations in the past week.

Initial reports have identified that 121 fuel stations have not placed any orders between May 27 and 31. Many other fuel stations have not placed adequate orders to maintain minimum stocks.

CPC fuel stations are required to maintain a minimum stock of 50%. Licenses of fuel stations that have violated the conditions of their contracts will be terminated after reviewing.
