A total of 440 prisoners are to be released tomorrow (03) on a presidential pardon in line with the Poson Poya Day, Prisons spokesman Chandana Ekanayake said.
He said prisoners from every prison in the country will be released under this special presidential pardon.
Accordingly, 434 male prisoners and six female prisoners will be released under the powers vested with the President under Article 34 of the Constitution.
