Jackfruit seller hacks to death hotel owner in Mt. Lavinia over price dispute | Sri Lanka News


A 29-year-old owner of a hotel on Galle Road at Ratmalana was hacked to death during price negotiation by a man trying to sell jackfruit.

Police said a dispute had arisen between the hotel owner and the suspect who had brought a jackfruit to be sold to the hotel over the price. 

The hotel owner was admitted to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital after the suspect had attacked the victim with a knife.

The victim was identified as a resident of Hapugasthalawa.

The suspect wanted over the killing has been identified and the Mount Lavinia Police are conducting investigations to arrest him.
