Cabinet approved monument in Colombo to also commemorate ex-combatants | Sri Lanka News


The Cabinet of Ministers have approved the proposal by President Ranil Wickremesinghe to build monument in Colombo to commemorate those who have died as a result of armed conflicts, political unrests or civil disturbances in Sri Lanka since independence.

Accordingly, the monument will be built to commemorate all civilians, including members of the armed forces and police and also ex-combatants. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
