Three individuals were killed and a child injured after a cab collided head-on with a three-wheeler at Yalabowa on the Wellawaya-Thanamalwila Road last night, Police said.
They said the deceased are the driver of the three-wheeler (44), his wife (42) and the father (70).
Their child was admitted to the Wellawaya Base Hospital.
The intoxicated cab driver who attempted to flee the area after the accident was handed over to the police by the residents. (Prasanna Padmasiri)
