Navy seizes hashish worth over Rs. 92 mn in Talaimannar seas | Sri Lanka News

Sri Lanka Navy intercepted a foreign dhow carrying approximately 92kg of hashish worth over Rs. 92 million during a special search operation carried out in the sea area of Sand Dunes, Talaimannar today, the Navy said.

They said three foreign suspects were apprehended and the dhow was taken into custody during the operation.

The gross street value of the stock of hashish is believed to be over Rs. 92 million.

The suspects together with drugs and the dhow were handed over to the Talaimannar Police for legal proceedings.
