Security forces on standby in Mirihana | Sri Lanka News


Additional police teams have been called into the Mirihana police as Aragalaya activists are planning to hold the first anniversary of the Aragalaya at the Jubilee Post in Nugegoda today, Police sources said.

Armed forces have also been kept on standby in the area.

The Aragalaya activists have planned to stage a protest calling for the abolition of the executive presidency to mark the first year since the Aragalaya expelled former president Gotabaya Rajapaksa from the presidency.
