Royal College took early control of the 46th Mustangs Trophy limited overs match restricting S. Thomas College to 55 for 3 in 15 overs.
Thomian captain Romesh Mendis won the toss and opted to bat first, but his team soon found themselves in trouble, losing three wickets for 26 runs inside the first nine overs.
Anush Polonnowita and Bulan Weeratunga accounted for the wickets of Thishen Eheliyagoda and Mendis respectively, with Weeratunga also involved in the run out of Dineth Gunawardena.
