Can’t allow Executive to interfere with judicial independence: Saliya Peiris | Sri Lanka News

There have been attempts by the Executive to interfere with the independence of the judiciary, Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) President Saliya Peiris said.

“We can’t expect the public to heed to the law, if the Executive does not. This is a very bad example set by the Executive and as professionals we must stand against this,” he said.
