Will not accept any MP post: PUCSL Chairman | Sri Lanka News

“I will not accept any post as a national list MP from any political party,” Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) Chairman Janaka Rathnayaka said.

He told the Daily Mirror that the statement by the minister is the best example of a typical Sri Lankan politician.

Rathnayaka condemned the statement made by Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera today in parliament, claiming that he is to be sworn in as a national list MP from a certain political party.

“They only work for people because they have a hidden agenda. But I work for the people with a genuine intention, which they cannot even believe,” he said.

He explained that politicians work for people for their benefit and said that he did not. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
