Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) Chairman Janaka Ratnayake said he is eagerly waiting to face the charge sheet which is said has been prepared by Minister Kanchana Wijesekara.
Earlier today, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara said a charge sheet related to the removal of the PUCSL chairman has been prepared and will be presented to Parliament soon.
The tussle between PUCSL Chairman and the Minister has begun following the request by the PUCSL with regards to uninterrupted power supply until the Advanced Level (A/L) examinations are over.
The PUCSL Chairman said he had suggested to utilize the PAYE tax collected by the government to purchase necessary fuel to provide uninterrupted power during the days where the A/L exam is in progress. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
