UAE expresses interest to invest renewable energy projects in SL | Sri Lanka News

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) said it is interested in investing in renewable energy projects in Sri Lanka.
Ambassador of United Arab Republic, Khaled Nasser AlAmeri said there is immense potential for UAE investments in energy sector in Sri Lanka. 
He said this when he called on Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena at the Prime Minister’s Office to discuss bilateral cooperation and investments.
The Prime Minister said UAE has the opportunities now to invest in new sectors such as agriculture and industrial sectors in addition to renewable energy sector.
He thanked UAE for the support and assistance provided to Sri Lanka for the development work as well as to help early recovery from current economic problems.
