Two gangsters killed in shootout with STF in Minuwangoda | Sri Lanka News


Two accomplices of organized criminal Uragaha Indika who is operating from abroad, have been killed in a shootout with Police Special Task Force (STF) officers at Polwatta in ​Minuwangoda.

Police said the STF officers had carried out a raid in Minuwangoda to arrest the suspects wanted over the murder of a man and his 4-year-old child in Yakkalamulla on October 19.

The suspects Milan Kosala alias Junda and Gamage Diluka alias Mula, residents of Poddala were killed during a shooting with the STF. A STF personnal who was also injured in the shooting was admitted to Minuwangoda Hospital for treatment.

The STF also recovered a T-56 type firearm, a 12-bore weapon and a Rambo type knife.

The Minuwangoda Police is investigating. (DSB)
