People get their relief on essential goods after they die: Canteen owners Assn. | Sri Lanka News

People will only be getting their relief for essential commodities promised by the government, after their death, All Island Canteen Owners' Association (AICOA) Chief Asela Sampath said.

Addressing the media today, he said people will never get relief for essential commodities while they are among the living, but on their seventh day and three months almsgiving.

Sampath also mentioned that this country has gone down to a pathetic state with the promises by these politicians.

Therefore, the AICOA requested the president and the opposition leader to dissolve the government as soon as they can and appoint democratically elected leaders to grant relief for the people.

All the present parliamentarians should be removed and a new set of ministers who have a heart towards the country and value democracy should be installed to bring relief for the suffering. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
