Sri lanka News – Yields in Sri Lanka’s T-bond fell and Treasury Bills remained unquoted on Thursday (15) in dull trade, while a guidance peg for interbank transactions announced by Sri Lanka’s central bank remained unchanged, dealers said.
Dealers said the 01.06.2032 bond, which was active throughout the day, closed at 29.40/29.60 percent on Thursday, down from previous close of 29.60/30.00 percent.
Dealers said it was unclear on the reasons for active participation of investors in the bond.
No T-bills were quoted throughout the day.
Sri Lanka’s central bank announced a guidance peg for interbank transactions remained unchanged at 362.45 rupees against the US dollar on Thursday.
Data showed that commercial banks offered dollars for telegraphic transfers between 369.45 and 370.00 for small transactions.
Banks offered to buy inward remittances at 359.45 -360.00 rupees. (Colombo/Sep 15/2022)
