Chinese traveller from Colombo found infected with COVID-19 on arrival at Shanghai | Sri Lanka News

A Chinese national who arrived from Sri Lanka has been infected with COVID-19, Shanghai (China) Health Commission said on Thursday morning. 

According to Chinese media, out of eight imported cases, one was from Sri Lanka.

“The first patient is a Chinese who arrived at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 10 from Sri Lanka,” reports said.

The other patients have come to China from New Zealand, US, South Korea and from Canada.

All the patients have been transferred to a designated hospital for treatment, while 32 close contacts on the same flights with them have been put under quarantine, reports added.
