Sri lanka News – Sri Lanka shares fell in mid-morning trade on Tuesday (13) after gaining in the last four sessions as the government debt office offers 75 billion rupees in a bond auction.

The main All Share Price Index slipped 0.48 percent or 47.31 points to 9,765.87 at 1140 hours.

Market analysts were expecting some movement of funds out of the equities market today ahead of the 75 billion rupees bond auction due to better interest rates.

Most liquid index S&P SL20 down 0.55 percent or 17.51 points to 3,139.13.

Market generated a turnover of 2.7 billion rupees.

Top losers were Hayleys, Royal Ceramics and Richard Pieris. (Colombo/Sep13/2022)
