Private schools withhold years worth of accounting records | Breaking News

The accounting records of government approved private schools have not been sent to the Ministry of Education for the past years.

It was reported that private schools are withholding these reports disregarding the special notices issued by the ministry in November last year and March this year.

It is alleged that these schools charge exorbitant amounts of money when admitting students while the ministry is also facing difficulties in investigating these allegations.

According to the Ministry’s Circular No. 2005/31, it is mandatory to send the accounting records of the schools to the Ministry annually. However, the Ministry of Education has not taken any action regarding the schools for violating the said circular as well.
