Navy apprehends 12 Indian fishermen | Breaking News

Twelve Indian fishermen have been taken into custody by the Sri Lankan Navy for allegedly fishing in territorial waters off the Alampil Beach in Mullaitivu.

The fishing gear and the vessel they were traveling in were also taken into custody.

The Navy said the fishermen will be handed over to the Trincomalee Fisheries Inspectorate for further investigations after bringing them to the Trincomalee Naval Base.
