Sri lanka News – Sri Lanka shares slip in mid-day trade on Tuesday (06) after gaining for five straight sessions, Colombo Stock Exchange data showed.

The main, All Share price Index (ASPI) fell 0.34% or 31.73 points to 9,334.66 at 1140 hours.

“We are seeing investors shift to new shares that gained in the past few sessions from the heavy weights,” a market analyst said.

The most liquid S&P SL20 slipped 0.69% or 20.79 points to 3,009.77.

Market generated a turnover of 2.4 billion rupees.

Top losers were Commercial Bank, Melstacorp and LOLC. (Colombo/Sept06/2022)
