Operations of the Lotus Tower, which is touted as the tallest building in South Asia, will commence on September 15.
According to the Presidential Media Division, the tower will be open to the public with the normal pass priced at Rs. 500 and the unlimited pass priced at Rs.2,000. Tourists will be charged USD 20.
Retired Major General Prasad Samarasinghe, who is the head of the tower’s management, has said that talks have been held with 58 investors so far with 22 expressing willingness to come onboard.
He adds that 15 bookings have already been placed for events at the venue.
