Sri lanka News – Sri Lanka Treasury Bills rates and T- bonds rates were steady in active trade on Friday while the Central Bank’s guidance peg for interbank transactions weakened by 40 cents, dealers said.

A bond maturing on 01. 06. 2025 closed at 28.95/29.00 percent of Friday, steady from 28.90/29.05 percent.

Three months’ bill was closed at 30.00/30 percent on Friday unchanged from the Thursday’s close.

Sri Lanka’s central bank announced a guidance peg for interbank transactions weakened by 40 cents to 361.40 rupees against the US dollar on Friday from 361 rupees.

Data showed that commercial banks offered dollars for telegraphic transfers between 368.40 and 370.00 for small transactions.

Banks offered to buy inward remittances at 358.40 -359.00 rupees. (Colombo/ Aug 26/2022)
