Bank clearance delays unloading super diesel cargo | Sri Lanka News

There was a delay in unloading the super diesel cargo on yesterday (24) due to bank clearances, but the discharging commenced an hour ago.

The Power and Energy Minister Kanchan Wijesekera said a ship carrying auto diesel will arrived tonight and  the unloading process will begun tomorrow.

The fuel distribution process at the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) will continue throughout the night tomorrow to cover up for the delay, he said.

Moreover, he said petrol is distributed in combination to most fuel stations with the delivery of diesel.

The delay in unloading diesel was a result of delays in the distribution of petrol.

However, the CPSTL will work overnight to cover up the delay, he said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
