No more queues for EPF from Sept.1: Minister | Sri Lanka News

There will be no more queues to get the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) from next month, Labour and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara said.

He said the Labour Department will increase the service orientation of the labour secretariat through digitalising the work to provide a better service experience.

The Minister requested that people can call the department's hotline at 1958 or to visit the department's official website at to reserveĀ  a date and time with the respective labour office.

The registration to obtain an appointment to hand over applications to obtain EPF will commence on September 1.

Through the online service, people can handover the claim application for withdrawing EPF, 30% EPF claim application, handover death claim application for EPF, and handover employer registration application for EPF from September 1.

He also requested to note that it is compulsory to obtain a prior appointment to obtain the service related to EPF matters from the department. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
