Infamous drug kingpin and organized criminal – Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne alias ‘Harak Kata’ is to be brought down to Sri Lanka next week, police say.
Police add that Interpol is currently taking the necessary measures needed to bring him back to Sri Lanka. Since he had flouted immigration and laws, it is likely he will be deported, police add.
After fleeing to Dubai using a fake passport under the name of Herath Dissanayake ge Roshan Ishanka, he was attempting to fly to Malaysia when he was arrested. Police say he had engaged in underworld activities and drug peddling from Dubai.
Last Thursday, a woman said to be his wife was also arrested while attempting to fly from Dubai to Malaysia.
