The Sri Lanka Podujana Party (SLPP) says they firmly urge the acting President and the tri forces to establish law and order in the country.
In a letter, the SLPP says they will give the fullest cooperation for this move. The SLPP statement in Sinhala is as follows :
Meanwhile, a request had been made by party leaders for Ranil Wickremesinghe to resign ahead of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s resignation.
The request was made during the party leaders’ meeting held this evening.
