Postal workers warned of dire consequences for failure to report for duty! | Breaking News

Postmaster General Ranjith Ariyaratne says that if the postal workers involved in the trade union action do not report to work, they will be considered as having vacated their posts and necessary measures will be initiated.

The Postmaster General stated that he will inform the trade unions in writing about this today (02).

The Postmaster General stated that due to union action, almost 400 bags of mail have piled up in the foreign section of the Colombo Central Mail Exchange and due to this, the Postal Department has lost an income of over 20 million rupees.

However, as a result of the fuel crisis, postal services operate only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
