Sri Lanka Railways says that train services will operate under normal schedules tomorrow (28).
Last night, the government announced that only vehicles attached to essential services will be supplied fuel with effect from midnight Monday (June 27) until July 10th.
Making the announcement, Cabinet spokesman – minister Bandula Gunawardena said although short distance travel will be permitted via the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), long distance travel will be interrupted.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) – Kingsley Ranawaka says that adequate SLTB buses will be operated and that bus services will not be affected by the current restrictions.
