The Ministry of Education has issued a notice on the function of schools between the 27th of June and the 1st of July.
The Ministry said schools in suburbs that were closed last week must reopen over three days, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, between 7:30am and 1:30pm in the coming week.
The Ministry said principals can determine the number of school days of primary classes.
Meanwhile, schools in rural areas that are not affected by transportation can engage in academic activities the entire week similar to the period between the 20th and 24th of June.
The Education Ministry added any teacher with transportation difficulties in such schools, should not be subject to leave deductions and requested principals to prepare a flexible schedule.
Online classes will continue on days when students are absent.
The Ministry said teachers who do not attend school due to transportation issues, will not be considered as private holidays.
