Pfizer jabs to be donated to Myanmar! | Breaking News

The Ministry of Health says that arrangements have been made to donate a portion of the Pfizer vaccine stocks to the Government of Myanmar.

The stock, which is due to expire in July 2022, is to be donated with collaboration of the World Health Organization, Health Ministry secretary – Mr. S.J.S. Chandragupta says.

Around 2,088,050 Pfizer jabs were brought into the country from July – December, 2021.

However, a stock of over 08 million of Pfizer vaccines remain in the country.

The opposition had claimed that the value of a Pfizer vaccine was $17 and this would mean the value of the remaining stock is close to US $136 million.
