Dispensers not updated!

Speaking in Parliament today, opposition MP – Buddhika Pathirana also slammed reports stating that MPs are being given subsidized fuel rates.

In response, Minister Wijesekera said that a grave technical lapse had been done by the police garage in Narahenpita where the MP vehicles are refuelled.

Noting that the rates displayed on the dispenser had not been updated for some time, the minister said this was the reason why lower rates were displayed.

However, no MP has been issued fuel for lower rates, he emphasised.

An investigation on this technical lapse would be held, he further said, adding that they have also ordered this morning to halt issuing fuel due to this issue.
