The government gazette notification that made it mandatory to have been fully vaccinated in order to have access to any public place has been revoked.
Health Minister Channa Jayasumana said that the gazette notification to make full vaccination compulsory for entry into public places has been canceled with effect from Sunday (May 1).
That is Order No. 101 of the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2264/09.
Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella issued a special gazette notification on January 25, 2022 prohibiting non-vaccinated persons from entering public places.
