Sri Lanka regulator wants minister for crisis hit energy sector | Sinhala News

Sri lanka News – The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has called for the immediate appointment of a power and energy minister as the sector is in deep crisis.

After the cabinet resigned and only four misters for Finance, Education, Foreign and Highways were re-appointed.

PUCSL Chairman Janaka Ratnayake asked the government to immediately appoint a dynamic minister “as electricity and petroleum industries which are in were in crisis.

“This is required to execute immediate decisions to provide these essential services to the consumers of electricity and petroleum industries,” Ratnayake said.
