The fuel refinery operations at the Sapugaskanda oil refinery will be suspended from tomorrow, Ceylon Petrolium Corporation (CPC) Chairman Sumith Wijesinghe said.
He said the fuel refinery operations will resume in April after having received adequate crude oil. “Several tenders have been received.
If the crude oil is received in April continuously, there would be no fuel scarcity in the country,” he said.
Now the country is getting purified fuel stocks such as petrol, diesel, jet fuel and kerosene.
The Chairman said this process will continue until we get sufficient crude oil. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
