Claims citing that Yugadanavi pact can't be disclosed, false | Breaking News

There is no truth to claims citing that details of the pact involving the Yugadhanai power plant cannot be disclosed for a period of two years, Co-cabinet spokesman – minister Ramesh Pathirana stated.

He was responding to a query raised in this regard at the Cabinet briefing this morning (07).

The minister said that the matter was discussed during yesterday’s meeting between CEB engineers and the President and the Presidential Media Division will issue a statement soon.

The minister also said that an investigation has been initiated on the island-wide power outage last week and the government has laid special emphasis to ascertain whether this was an act of sabotage.
