Cabinet approval has been granted for the digitization of expressway tolls.
Accordingly, LANKAQR will be introduced for manual toll collection gates on expressways.
With this new system, drivers will be able to make payments in as little as 8-10 seconds by entering the relevant amount on their mobile phone and scanning the QR code at the charging gate through any bank’s LANKAQR enabled mobile payment application.
