Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila stated in Parliament today (23) that it would be more appropriate to bring in the fuel price formula if the fuel price stabilization committee is not established.
He was responding to a question by NFF spokesman and MP Mohamed Muzammil.
He further emphasized that the price stabilization committee is most suitable for the country.
Minister of Justice Ali Sabri said in Parliament recently that he was proposing to the government to go back to a fuel price formula and that fuel prices should fluctuate according to world market prices and that the Central Bank had also stated that the matter should be considered.
