A new political party is to be established based on the political ideals of late actor and politician – Vijaya Kumaratunga, reports say.
It is reported that a new political party has been started based on the political policies of veteran actor and politician Vijaya Kumaratunga.
It is said that it has been named as the ‘Wijayawadi Mahajana Vimukthi Peramuna’.
It is said that the party has been initiated by Vijaya Kumaratunga’s sister Rupa Kumaratunga and a group of his close followers.
This party has even held a meeting chaired by one Kamal Rohana Rajapaksha who is said to be the party’s Gampaha district organiser.
He has said that the party will contest all future elections from all constituencies of the country.
