45 Indians at Cement factory tests Covid-19 positive | Breaking News

The office of the Southern Provincial Director of Health Services says that 45 Indian nationals working at a cement factory being constructed in the Hambantota Investment Zone have been tested positive for Covid-19.

 
They were found to be Covid-19 positive after the Hambantota Medical Officer of Health (MOH) conducted Rapid Antigen Tests on 50 employees at the site.

There are 460 Sinhalese, 320 Tamils and 480 Indian nationals working at this site and they have even been fully vaccinated with the Sinopharm vaccine.

However, 42 out of 480 Indians who have refused to be vaccinated had not tested positive.
