The Software Engineer of Epic Lanka Technologies, who is charged with deliberately deleting data of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) has been released on bail.
The case was taken up before Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddika C. Ragala today (17).
The Colombo Chief Magistrate ordered to release him on a cash bail of Rs. 50,000 and two sureties of Rs. one million each and banned any foreign travels.
He had also warned that if the investigations were hampered, the suspect would be remanded again after cancelling the bail.
The Colombo Chief Magistrate further ordered to submit a progress report on the investigation when the case is to be taken up again on Jan. 27.
