Pathum Maleviarachchi, the owner of a Salon Hisa Care in Nawam Mawatha, Colombo, has been murdered in the Galkadawala area in Anuradhapura on the 10th.
He had gone to the Anuradhapura, Galkadawala area from Colombo and had tried to abduct a 21 year old unmarried girl who worked for his company. At that time, the girl’s brother had assaulted him with a sharp weapon, which caused his death.
The 35-year-old person who committed the murder has been arrested by the Alayapattuwa Police.
Pathum, who was killed in this incident, had become very popular on social media for the gift he had given his girlfriend which was a Rs. 20 million Benz luxury car on her birthday.
Thirty-eight-year-old Pathum’s Salon Hisa Care has another branch in Nawala.
Investigations have revealed that the victim had grown up in the house of the suspect in the Galeposgama area in Galkadawala, Alayapattuwa for several years when he was a child. He had grown up without the protection of his parents and had become a millionaire through his own efforts.
