A 35-foot-long dead whale has washed ashore on the beach near the Hikkaduwa bridge this morning. Hikkaduwa Wildlife Sanctuary custodian Uthpala Adaranga said it was a blue whale and people were urged not to gather in the area. Pix by Sugathapala Deeyagahage
